Well, what is pain? Can you feel pain, is it emotional, pyshical mental or is pain a measure of a human beings abillity to survive or is it just human to feel such an emotion (that is if it is)...Your opinions on this please.

Pain is anything that hinders you in a way.. Can be physical, mental, emotional..
I think fear is a measure of survival. Without fear, U aint got shit to gain, overcome. Pain is just something U experience which is on par with happiness

Pain is something that can be in your mind... you can hit a new born child or very young child.. and say that what they're feeling is a nice feeling (keep that up, and they start to like pain).. so pain is definitly a emotional thing.. pain is also self protection, if you feel something that hurts (in your eyes.. a bee sting can hurt but some people think it's just a nuissance) than you learn that you need to watch out from it,,

pain is anything hurting the body ;D
it also depends on how well you can handle pain and what type of pain it is
like getting a body piercing is way different from snapping your leg in half and is defiantly way different from a heat break....

pain is a feelin.. caused by different emotions.. pain can be caused by the emotion of sorrow.. like wen someone dies.. pain can be caused by the emotion of shock or fright like wen ur punched and didnt see it comin.. but one thing pain isnt for sure, is an emotion.. its more of a reaction... say for instance you get shot and me bein shot in the leg before knows that that first minute u dont feel pain.. u are just in shock.. and its not till after that minute that pain kicks in... so it cant be an emotion.. emotions are instantaneously felt.. [at least for me]..
so pain to me is the brains reaction to what the body is feeling.. look at the people with major frost bite, or paralyzed people.. if u strike the part they cant move or necessarily feel... they wont feel pain... why.. because the nerves that carried the messages to the brain that it is feeling pain are no longer there or are badly damaged.. so they are getting struck but cant feel this "pain.." we can do the same... without having to injure ourselves... like me for instance, fromm years of going threw many pains and stresses i've learned to control it in ways... like yesterday i bangged my pinky toe into a dresser... and i felt that rush and just inhaled and let the rush go.. so it didnt hurt.. it felt somewhat soreish wen i walked but as far as hopping around with my foot in the air and screaming.. i didnt do that.. i cant explain it... another example, wen i get socked i brush it off.. wen my little cuzzins come over i let them take off on me.. but its not till they hit the same spot repeadetly that it starts to hurt.. and then it doesnt really hurt.. it just gets hot and uncomfortable.. so ive gained a high tolerance for pain... so pain CANNN be controlled... u just got to train your brain... where as emotions cant.. they can just be hid, or delayed..

Oh, If told you how I felt when I jostled past a dude while I was playing rugby when he slipped trying to tackle me and grabbed the baby blammers.... I screamed, Cried and felt life slip away from my face. ..that day, I lost my innocence.

Physical Pain; Broken bones, cuts, bruises, grazes..
Emotional Pain; Rejection, loneliness, heartbreak, loss of loved ones..
They all completely different, but each has the same effect..
Scenario #1 - Physical Little kid on his bike. Happily riding along. No helmet or shin pads, car pulls up infront of him, he swerves, hits a post and falls off; resulting in cuts & bruises and tears. Lesson learned: Wear protection [no sexoo] and look for oncoming vehicles.
Scenario #2 - Emotional Girl meets boy [yes, typical cheesy scenario.. but one only I know so well]. They get to know eachother [again, no sexo] and as time progresses, so do feelings. One of them opens up, lets the other in, and becomes completely dependent on that one person and their feelings. The other, however, rejects their other half as they no longer feel the same. Other is crushed, hurt, and lonely. Lesson learned: Dont forget who the fuck you are, and never become dependent on another person so damn easily, or at all.
To be honest, I think I'd rather be the boy on the bike.. That'd hurt less.

sometimes pyhsical pain heal alot faster then emotional... plus theirs pain killer for physical pain but what about emotinal ? Erm, there's medication for that too. It's called alcohol. Seriously though. The number one reason for drug abuse is to cope with emotional distress or pain. So technically there is 'medication' for it.

^ But more than half the time, medication often leads to an even more serious depression... I mean look at the cases of columbine... Dude was on anti depresants and he told the doctor it made him have suicidal and homicidal thoughts.... and they shrugged it off, and the next day him and his friend murder a shit load of innocent people... and in the autopsy, revealed that he had the anti depressants in his system at the time... Many of these 'medications' actually can turn the situation even more lethal and serious... just look at the side affects of these medications.. i mean if i'm takin medication for depression... I don't need the side effects to be hallucinatin, thoughts of suicide and killing people... ya knah mean...
same shit wit alcohol... alcohol don't do nothin but make you forget about your predicament at the moment... but if u abuse it, it actually makes the situation worse... Take my pops for example... He's an alcoholic, and has alot of stresses on him like bills, and drinks to just 'cover' it up for the moment... it doesn't treat or cure anythin... and often times he has phases were he gets alll violent and shit.....
I think anybody can cure or build up an immunity to things by themselves.. fuck a drug or medication... ya knah mean

The same can be said for drugs to deal with physical pain as well though. Like Benoit's roide rage a few years back. Over dose on painkillers etc.
