So i remember being in an msn or sb convo with like kurbz, sean and dan (lm) about it, and there was a lotta talk about old school vs. new, commercial vs. underground, so what's people think?

i think it's easy... people who are oldschool rap for being the best in lyrics, punches,disses multi's and whatever kinda like we're doing.. with a 1200 members we're not big.. and we do battle on this forum so you can call this a underground place too. and people who are mainstream rap to get rich and rap to just attract the crouds.. nothing wrong with it tho' just not my thing..

Basically... Hiphop has a buncha sub-genres. Just like every other genre of music. It's all a matter of preference. I, myself, like to believe the people who are still hungry and have nothing, but still make music time after time are doing more FOR hiphop then those who blew up and are making millions of dollars. Thats just me though, There is no real border dividing REAL HIPHOP from a "FAKE" HIPHOP.
