there's a difference from looking at a point of view of a race than thinking in a racist point of view, saying that suburban white kids buy the most rap albums isn't stereotyping, saying all black people are criminals is stereotyping and being racist, and KRS-one, in that specific verse, is trying to bring the racism to an end, by showing how rediculous some racism is, so in no way is he being racist in that verse. Lmao@ them both not being stereotypes. They both are, ones just more offensive. I'm just wondering who YOU are to decide what and who is hip hop. What gives YOU that right?

It's not me, it's what the movement stands for. How is saying most rap album sales come from white suburban kids a stereotype?? that's simply stating that white kids from the suburbs like rap, and buy rap albums. it's not saying all rap albums r bought by wiggers in the suburbs, that would be a stereotype

Stereotype; "One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type."
Saying all white suburban kids buy most of the rap out there is conforming to a set image, thus being a stereotype.

he's not saying all white suburban kids buy hip hop albums. he's saying that the majority of hip hop's sales come from that demographic. gawd!
and detox, i'm not trying to say it's not true. i was saying the phrase sounds corny and whiny, no matter what context. the way you said it afterwards ("transcends") sounds more intelligent and not like some kid who thinks he just recently discovered TeH ReEl HiP hOpZ in a fort minor album.

now let me say something on this whole nigga word im black and i gotta say one thing black people dont usually care if white people say nigga nigga is a people word it used to mean ignorant muttha fucka anyone can be an ignorant muthha fucka so nigga is not a raciest word but the word nigger is raciest is has a long history of being used to describe a worthless black person so of course it would get black people mad i personally dont find either word as long as it used in an unoffenceive way a joke is okay but when you say stuff like fuck that black ass coon ass cotten picking nigga that when the line is crossed and i dont know if cracker or whiteboy or peckerwood is as offensive as nigger but i dont use it anyway unless im joking around but if your white and a black or mexican calls you a cracker dont use the world nigger just step up and demand respect cause usually it to see if you bitch or not, and on this slavery thing i think it was wrong to enslave a people and force them to work for you but we as a black people need to shut the fuck up over how you hate white because they enslaved your people because none of us as now a days black people were slaves and none of the white people were slave owners so just shut up cause white people were slaves to, they were jewish slaves in egypt and Egyptians were black so let it go, but now a days most black people feel hatred for white people because most cops are white and most cops in the hood are corrupt now there are black corrupt cops too but not many that treat black people different than white people and they dislike white people because most white people profile black people such as oww how hes dressed makes him a thug or a drugdealer and the same thing with black people such as ow hes white so he cant like hip hop or hes white so hes a punk. everybody profiles but usually white people, not all usually older, profile all black people as mostely gangsters thugs drug dealers rapers murderers or lowlifes so yes black people would feel a little hatred for being seen as a thug and shit but everyone needs to just shut up with this raciest stuff because were all slaves to the men running this country and controlling what we see and do

if you see a black person you don't know and feel insecure from stereotypes, that's your problem, but you're not hip-hop if you think from a racist point of view what ever everyone has stereotypical thoughts and you cant deny it it just matters how much you act on those thoughts even black people stereotype there selves like me im mixed black and white and when i see a black dude dressed up in gangsta attire i think damn dats a kill a nigga type nigga but he could be a fucking nerd and there is alot or racism in hip hop but it isnt strongley put out there like common he has a lot of raciest opinions on white people in the song the people and back on you not being stereotypical so you say that when you think of a cap you dont see s white man thats being stereotypical right there
