Oh Timbaland
A track sampling the 'sinnerman' by Nina Simone my knowledge of music leads me to believe .
As usual timbaland rapping about how he changed the game, money etc etc. Even though the lyrics are bullshit, the beat makes you wanna bounce to it as usual and the chorus is catchy. – (3.5/5) 3andhalfstars.png
Give It To Me
This is the first single from the album and when I first heard it my arse damn near blew up but as soon as you get this album it fades in with the rest of the songs and becomes averagely good.
Nelly Furtado is said to lash out at Fergie as she stole her and Gwen Stefani’s style, Timbaland in on Scott Storch and Justin Timberlake attacks Prince.
"I'm a real producer and you just the piano man"…Scott Storch is so gay, if you don’t agree with me I suggest you do your research, listen to his diss back to timbaland, watch the video and then we can talk.
What is it what beef these days; even pop artists are beefin, crazy. – (4/5) 4-stars.png
Release
SUCH an amazing track regardless of the reviews this song got. Amazing chorus, pretty decent lyrics and is probably the most effective track on the album that almost literally makes you get up and dance, kinda reminds you of sexyback minus the electric effects. Probably my best song on this album – (5/5) 5-stars.png
The Way I Are
Song sounds like a mix between sexyback and my love. Everything in this song is amazingly catchy and I wouldn’t be surprised if Timbaland third single is this song.
The only thing I hated about this song is the new rapper Timbaland has signed called D.O.E, he’s such a shit rapper, one of the lines from the song being ‘Listen baby girl, I ain't got a motorboat but I can float ya boat’
Overall one of the best tracks on the album, one of my best. – (5/5) 5-stars.png
Bounce
He’s lucky the beat is pretty good and chorus and Timbaland’s verse is catchy otherwise the song and lyrics are total bullshit.
Don’t get me wrong, I love missy and dre…but god damn. I mean yeah obviously if you were in a club and this beat came on you would get fairly excited but if you’re sitting at home listening to this song you will get annoyed by the lack of creativity from missy and dre. “Hold up! Hell naw! Like Britney Spears I wear no draws, In the club I drink it up, gulp gulp drink it up”
Justin Timberlake in the chorus and Timbalands first verse saves this song from getting a lower rating. – (3/5) 3-stars.png
Come And Get Me
I personally thought Bounce might be one of the weaker tracks from the album but I was wrong. Timbaland starts off with “Nigga Your Time Is Up, I Aint Come To Kid You, I Knew You niggas Was Dumb, But How Dumb Is You”.
As usual Timbaland brags about money, fame and how good he is.
I also don’t really like the beat but it gets bearable as the song goes along and you get used to it.
Adding 50 Cent and Tony Yayo wasn’t exactly the best career choice but 50 Cent was fairly good at best, his flow was alright, lyrics were bullshit but it was a step up from Timbalands bullshit. Now Yayo…..yayo….just..no. – (2.5/5) 2andhalfstars.png
Kill Yourself
I love the start of this song, I can’t put my finger on where the quote is from but I’m pretty sure it’s from a film like A.I. or something. The beat is simple but amazing, makes Timbalands lyrics sound better even though it’s the same old. Chorus is cool and catchy, hook is nice.
Timbalands brother and the other unknown rapper don’t really carry on the coolness of the track but they’re bearable and well…it’s worth listening to just cuz of the beat and Timbalands verse and hook. – (4/5) 4-stars.png
Boardmeeting
TIMBO AND MAGOO BABY lol, need I say more ?
Timbaland, very nice, catchy hook, catchy everything, decent lyrics, amazing beat. Magoo very nice, decent lyrics.
Definitely one of the better sides of the album. (4.5/5) 4andhalfstars.png
Fantasy
Ok now basically, I’ve heard this track had nothing to do with Timbaland, and I would agree but the people that made this beat have definitely used some inspiration from Timbaland. I’m sayin I’m not really into songs done by chicks but this is a good song nonetheless. (4/5) 4-stars.png
Scream
Bullshit song when I first heard it, now I grown to love it, including the western style beat and chorus is catchy as usual. (3.5-4/5)
Miscommunication
Nice beat, everything is amazingly catchy as usual. Lyrics are pretty good.
Once again Keri Hilson carries on the song and I gotta admit…I’m really digging her lol.
Timbalands brother does a fairly good job at rappin at the end, revives his pretty poor performance from previous songs, the downside to this song is that it ends too suddenly. - (4.5/5) 4andhalfstars.png
Bombay
What can I say, Timbaland goes back to ripping on Indian songs and recreating them. Amazing song nonetheless. Funny thing is I don’t think he knows what she’s saying as some of the female’s lyrics on here have fairly little to do with what he’s saying lol. – (5/5) 5-stars.png
Throw It On Me
Second single from Timbaland coming soon I think.
…Amazing is all I can say really. If you’re into rock, this track is a must for you. If you’re not don’t worry….this track is also for you. One of the tracks that almost makes you spontaneously combust. – (5/5) 5-stars.png
Time
From the previous song, the album just got flipped on it’s arse. He’s brought in rock and it blends amazingly well. Chorus is amazing, beat is amazing, lyrics are pretty deep too. – (5/5) 5-stars.png
One And Only
Yet another rock track, fall out boy rule .
Nice beat, catchy, I have a feeling this may be another single is this album does well. It sounds like any other fall out boy song out at the moment, with a touch of Timbaland. I love it when every now and again the song breaks down from the rock and the drums go crazy and Timbaland does his thing – (4.5/5) 4andhalfstars.png
Apologize
This has background vocals that remind me of ‘Say it right’ where timbaland is funny in the background going ‘EH, EH’ lol. Amazing beat, deep lyrics, good singer. How can it go wrong ?
The best thing about Timbaland is that even though the majority of his lyrics are shit, he knows his limits and knows when to bow out or to step in. And so he did cameo appearances in his own songs and rightfully left this one to the professional singer. – (4.5/5) 4andhalfstars.png
2 Man Show
One of my favorites. Let me get this straight with you people ok…I am NOT an Elton fan, that isn’t saying anything against his music of being homophobic. I like his cameos on hip hop track and that’s where it stops. I was a little pissed he didn’t have any vocals on this song and only plays the piano but in the end it levels out cuz even Timbaland doesn’t have many lyrics. Kinda does a P.Diddy on the song and say things every now and again. Amazing chilled out beat; chorus doesn’t manage to wear itself out by repeating itself surprisingly. Timbaland and Elton make a good team, not surprised if they work on tracks again. Great way to end the album. – (5/5) 5-stars.png
So basically no I won’t review the last two songs cuz they’re not worth it and clever to have made them bonus tracks. Well they’re not bad they’re pretty good its just that I can’t be bothered to keep typing.
This album is more of a love it or hate it thing and if you’re like me and crazy with music then I suggest you get this album.
I actually bought this album, making it the second album I’ve ever bought apart from Michael Jackson – bad.
Overall I give it roughly – 80/100 4andhalfstars.png
And that’s me being fair as some of you know I tend to bum lick some of Timbaland’s music cuz if I did it according to what I thought then I would give it roughly 90/100.
One more thing, the next person i hear saying that Justin Timberlake is tryna be 'black' will get slapped in the face.
Surprised black people don't see it offensive either cuz they're being stereotyped.
